IN THE SUMMERTIME
The following work is 40 x 30 inches and is a deep edged canvas with the painting continued around the edge of the canvas. Executed in acrylic paint I have tried to capture the feeling of summertime wildflower meadows. Sometimes it is just nice to go a little mad and embrace the colour.

THE CRANES, TITANIC QUARTER (SOLD)

The Iconic Cranes is a subject I can’t help returning to. This ink and watercolour painting is painted on 640gsm rough, heavyweight Saunders Waterford watercolour paper. The panoramic painting is double mounted in a textured conservation board with a stay white core. The pewter frame reflects the metallic watercolours added to sections that help bring the painting to life. The painting will change tone in different lights.
THE JETTY, HOLYWOOD, CO. DOWN

I have tried to create an atmospheric painting with the dramatic flowing sky contrasting the structural jetty. This ink and watercolour painting is painted on 640gsm rough, heavyweight Saunders Waterford watercolour paper. The panoramic painting is double mounted in a textured conservation board with a stay white core. The frame is a white solid wooden frame with a textured grain.
FAIRHEAD, NORTH ANTRIM COAST

This painting is an expression of colour. I have tried to capture the feel of the place, on a spring day. This watercolour painting is painted on 640gsm rough, heavyweight Saunders Waterford watercolour paper. The panoramic painting is double mounted in a textured conservation board with a stay white core. The frame is a white solid wooden frame with a textured grain.
GIANT’S CAUSEWAY I & II
Two views of the Causeway, these colourful ink and watercolour paintings are painted on 640gsm rough, heavyweight Saunders Waterford watercolour paper. The paintings are double mounted in a textured conservation board with a stay white core. The frames have a pewter finish.

These are all very different and lend themselves to all sorts of subject matter. The freedom to roam outside the usual confines of the mount allows a little personal touch or text to be included without interrupting the main image. The combinations are endless……………………….
