November Update

Robin Christmas cards can be purchased by clicking on the image above or by clicking on the SumUp Shop button

I hope you are all keeping well. As the nights are drawing in and Christmas is getting ever closer, I thought I would give you an update on where I hope to be over the next few months and remind you of some of the artwork I have for sale.  There is still time to discuss a commission, so please message me via Facebook or Email me please.

I have started to attend St. George’s Market, Belfast as a Casual Trader at weekends, I will keep posting details on my Facebook and Instagram pages each week as my stall is confirmed by Belfast City Council. I tend to be in a different spot each day, so do hunt me down.

As well as St George’s Market, I will be at:

River House, High Street, Belfast on Thursday 8th December from 11:00am – 3:00pm.  The fair is open to the public, so please do call in.

Royal Hillsborough Christmas Market on Friday 9th December from 3:00pm – 9:00pm.

Sullivan Upper, Holywood on Monday 12th December from 5:30pm – 8:00pm

There is something captivating about a full moon.  These two original acrylic paintings on canvas board show Belfast City Hall and Donaghadee Lighthouse, two of my favourite places to paint.  (click on each image for further details and/or to purchase)

I hope you spotted my lone dog walker in the City Hall piece too!!

All the following prints are finished with real gold leaf.  It is added to small sections to add a shine that highlights details of the image. The framed prints can be purchased individually, or prices are reduced if you purchase 2, 3 or even 4.  Do get in touch if you would like to purchase a few.

The Giant’s Causeway (overall size 27 x 27 cms including the frame)

Scrabo from the Portaferry Road (overall size 27 x 27 cms including the frame)

Mussenden from Portstewart Strand (overall size 27 x 27 cms including the frame)

The act of producing a painting a day ‘no matter what’ focuses creativity, as it provides an element of urgency which as well as encouraging the process of drawing/painting and experimenting, also focuses the mind. at least that’s what I find.  Every painting will not appeal to everyone but that happens with a three month long painting as much as a daily one. It is an opportunity to try something a little different and a painting can take anything from a couple of hours to all day.  I have gone through this process a few times now and have always enjoyed it (well most of the time!!). I have been sharing my progress online and on social media and one person wins a painting of their choice from the 31 days. The rest are then offered for sale.  The paintings are shown below from Day 1 to Day 31.

I will initially offer the products for sale on social media but do keep an eye on my shop as I will be adding some of the paintings, as well as new work, to my website.

Thank you for all your interest, I hope you’ll come back in a weeks time to see the final framed pieces.

Yesterday was the first day of Love Your Home, Belfast in the TEC. 17th – 19th June 2022.

I am exhibiting new watercolour and acrylic artworks, prints and smaller items such as cards, small prints, hanging decorations and original artwork bookmarks.

The Giant’s Causeway has a bit of a twist to it this time…..I have taken the image over the mount to add to the sense of depth and used 24ct gold leaf in areas too.

The Giant’s Causeway Framed ink and watercolour with 24carat gold leaf 73 x 73 cms including frame. £450
Belfast scenes : Belfast City Hall and H & W Cranes. Approx 75 x 45 cms, inc the frame. £350 each

I also have a more tranquil scene of the Mournes from Murlough, in the same 75 x 45cm size

The Mourne Mountains (Murlough view). Ink and watercolour with gold watercolour highlights £350

Little pieces – something for everyone
